Where Stories Come From
Inspired by the origins of storytelling, Austin Bieberly’s artwork bridges the gap between recognition and chaos. Compulsive mark-making results in loose, vibrant, and uninhibited paintings, where abstract scenes encourage intrapersonal contemplations. By ignoring the traditional end goal many artists aim to achieve, Bieberly has created an artistic identity in impulsivity and non-uniformity. While faced with the infinite possibilities of art making, Austin ponders the authenticity of his expression. He considers endless lessons to be voiced through creation, and he wonders how he can connect with others through shared human experience. By focusing on the journey of creating an artistic narrative, Bieberly weaves surrealistic characters and intangible spaces in an unique imaginative realm. Austin’s goal for this body of work is to explore the margin between imagination and reality.

Kelly Conner – MeritMade Jewelry
Each piece of MeritMade jewelry is crafted from recycled precious metal, either silver or gold. I use centuries old metalsmithing techniques and combine them with a modern and minimal design aesthetic.
Our contemporary society is flooded with mass produced and disposable jewelry. MeritMade strives to provide a sustainable alternative. I strongly believe in quality over quantity. I believe that design can be beautiful, classic, and reverent to the materials. I believe in creating future heirlooms that are meant to be worn and loved.
